Ethno-cultural features of the Promotion and Preservation
Alytus city folk art studio Dainava (Lithuania), together with Suwalki regional cultural and arts center (Poland) to implement project "Lithuanian / Polish border co-operation in culture. Ethno - cultural characteristics, the fostering and preservation.
The project budget is 39 367.00 from the project funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) amounts to 33 461.95
EUR. The project implementation period is 20.08.2010 - 01.19.2011.
One of the main objectives of this project - cultural, and thus the strengthening of economic ties, border region of the national art ethnic culture and traditions in common, and highlighting differences, nurturing future generations:
- Activate and strengthen the Lithuanian / Polish border cultural population - economic relations;
- Reveal the border region of folk art similarities and differences to reveal the charm and uniqueness of national identity and the importance of
maintain and preserve the ethnic culture nation for future generations.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES:
First Develop and implement an educational program for students' ethnic culture features of the Polish-Lithuanian border zone "in Alytus.
Second Develop and implement an educational program for students' ethnic culture features of the Polish-Lithuanian border zone "in Suwalki.
Third To organize an international folk festival "Come grasslands: Suwalki, Alytus" Alytus.
4th To organize an international folk festival "Come grasslands: Suwalki, Alytus" Suwalki.
5th Develop a website and a promotional DVD movie (in Lithuanian, Polish and English).
RESULTS Project:
Lithuanian - Polish border region highlighting ethno cultural, ethnic art popularization of the population, especially among young people, identifying cross-border nations cultural differences and similarities.
Cross - border cooperation in strengthening and promoting a culture of joint cultural events.
In the web site and DVD movie to promote Lithuanian-Polish border peoples and border ethno culture
cooperation for the general public in both countries and the world.
Signed long - terms cooperation agreement for 2010-2013 between Alytus folk art studio Dainava and Suwalki regional cultural and arts center in Rocky. " A working group to develop cooperation.
